The task at hand was clear, to finish what had been asked of me, yet unaware it would steer towards another aim to complete.

The guy, new and eager, assigned his task, his first venture into this clandestine world, unaware how swiftly questions could unmask, unraveling secrets as emotions unfurled.

I ignited the fire as instructed, amidst noticing another blaze ignite, my curiosity, again, seducted leading to conflict, a brutal fight.

Confidence waned momentarily, "let her handle it, she knows the way," your hands firm like cement, verily, each act of violence revealing a story's sway.

No need for me to weave the thread, when threats continue their ongoing spread, but in you, I see more than dread, perhaps tonight's task isn't the only one to be led.
