Promise to Open Her Book

If ever there was a dream so pure,
In my mind you will forever endure.
Looking across the vastness of this sea,
Lost deep in the mists you may always be.

Found your heart one day within a stone,
Nestled in the sands of time all alone.
Touched you and held you feeling your book,
As I searched and felt you, I opened for a look.

Your days in the past were some light and some dark,
Each chapter read so deeply, I caressed every mark.
You pushed and you pulled, my heart felt every tug,
Moments spent reading, my heart against yours felt snug.

Had I really found a love so divine,
It tangled and tightened pulling deep into mine.
My fingers pressed intensely into each page,
The words tore through me, I felt so amazed.

Now I turn this page and find it is blank as I stare,
The strokes of my pen I write with profound care.
Captive of your book I forever will be,
I promise our pages will come deep from in me.
