Yes Sir, Yes Ma'am
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am,
I'll say it again,
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am,
It's so ingrained.
From the time we learn to speak,
It's a phrase we're taught to keep,
Respect and manners at the core,
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am, forevermore.
It's a sign of courtesy,
A humble form of speech,
A way to show our gratitude,
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am, we never exclude.
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am,
It's a melody on our tongue,
A rhythm that we hum,
A symphony of respect strummed.
In the morning when we rise,
We greet our elders with a guise,
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am, with a smile,
A gesture that goes on for miles.
At school, we raise our hand,
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am, we understand,
It's a way to show our teacher,
That we're paying attention and eager.
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am,
It's a mark of discipline,
A way to show our parents,
That we're obedient and diligent.
Even in the workplace,
It's a way to keep our pace,
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am, with a nod,
We show our boss, we're not a fraud.
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am,
It's a tradition passed down,
A symbol of our upbringing,
In our culture, it wears a crown.
We may be proud and strong,
But with our elders, we belong,
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am, we bow,
A way to show, we're not too loud.
In the military, it's a command,
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am, we understand,
It's a way to show our obedience,
To our superiors, with a sense.
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am,
It's a word of loyalty,
A way to show our country,
Our love and unity.
In times of trouble and strife,
We turn to our leaders for advice,
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am, we comply,
To make our nation stand in pride.
But it's not just an utterance,
It holds a deeper significance,
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am, it's a code,
A way of life, a moral code.
It teaches us to be humble,
To never let our egos crumble,
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am, it's a lesson,
To always show kindness and compassion.
It reminds us to be grateful,
To always remain faithful,
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am, it's a reminder,
To always have a heart of a kinder.
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am,
It's a word of honor,
A vow to always be sincere,
To never let our respect disappear.
It's a way to show our elders,
That we'll never be strangers,
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am, we'll always be close,
A bond that's unbreakable, never to oppose.
So let us never forget,
The power of this duet,
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am, it holds the key,
To a world, full of harmony.
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am,
It's a way of life,
A code we'll always abide,
In our hearts, it will forever thrive.
So let us keep this tradition alive,
To always show gratitude and thrive,
Yes Sir; Yes Ma'am, we'll never cease,
To utter these words, with utmost peace.
