When All That`s Left is a Picture and a Diary

In life it's a promise,
to find a true love is a gift.

Sifting through the memories,
I've given all I got, and taken
so much more than I deserve.

I've doled it all out, then kept it all to myself in reserve.

Time to remember, self, it's time to stop the attack;
when all that's left to say to her, is I wish I had you back.

      These don't necessarily all have something to do with me, sometimes I'm just putting myself into character and seeing what I come up with.

      Some are based on experiences I've had too.

      Oh I realize that. I often do the same thing. I think many of us are empaths which enables us to express experiences and feelings as if they are our own.
