So there's this girl

So there this girl, with eyes like the dawn,
A spark in her gaze, where my worries are drawn.
Her laughter, a melody, sweet as the breeze,
In her presence, my heart finds a moment of ease.

Her touch, oh, it dances like whispers of light,
A brush of her fingers, and the world feels so right.
Each heartbeat a rhythm, a song in my chest,
When she’s near, all my troubles are put to the test.

Her smile, a sunrise that brightens my day,
Chasing shadows and doubts, they all fade away.
In the warmth of her glow, I find solace and peace,
A sanctuary built where my heart finds release.

When she wraps me in arms that feel like a dream,
All the pain of my soul, like a distant, faint scream.
In that moment, I’m whole, I’m alive, I’m reborn,
With her love as my armor, I can weather the storm.

From day one, I loved her, with all that I am,
A boy lost in longing, just trying to understand.
I was fragile and searching, a heart in the fray,
Hoping she’d see me, in her own special way.

But time, it has passed, and I’ve grown into man,
Yet the shadows of doubt still cling to my plan.
I’ve built up these walls, made of fear and regret,
And I wonder if love is a gamble I’ll bet.

As years roll like waves, crashing hard on the shore,
I find myself questioning what I’m fighting for.
Will she tire of the battles, the scars that I bear?
Will she turn and walk away, leaving me in despair?

For I know that I’m harder to love than before,
With the weight of my past, it’s a heavy, closed door.
And when that day comes, when she’s had all she can take,
I’ll be left in the silence, my heart starting to break.

I’ll wonder what happened, where did we go wrong?
Was it something I said, or a note in our song?
I’m blind to the distance that’s pushing us apart,
Lost in the echoes of a once hopeful heart.

So there this girl, with a light that won’t fade,
In the tapestry of life, she’s the thread that I’ve made.
But I fear that the colors will start to run dry,
And I’ll be left standing, just asking the sky.

“Why did I falter? Why did I stray?
When all I ever wanted was to love her each day?”
So there this girl, and I’m holding on tight,
Hoping that love will guide us through the night.

For in her embrace, I find pieces of me,
A boy who was lost, now a man yearning to be.
So there this girl, and I’ll cherish her still,
With a heart full of hope, and a love that won’t chill.
