A Flower's Desire

I don't wish to form a part of a rich man's flower vase.
I have no desire to engage the eyes of a bashful lass.
Don't offer me along with prayers to gods either.
I would instead like to wait and wither
On roads through which soldiers go to martyrdom
To offer themselves on the altar of freedom.
