My name is Rumaysa Rajab. I am 12 years old. I am submitting my poems, 'The Sky Ablaze' When I was only around 8 years old I would always write silly little poems for fun. For a few years I lost interest and stopped, but then one day I came across a poetry book and started reading it. My love for poetry grew. A few day later, I sat down on my desk, with my window wide open, and my candles lit, and decided to write a poem. I used my surroundings as inspiration, I wrote poetry about what I love. I wrote whatever came to mind. And I loved it. I love poetry for all the words sound melodious. And reading poetry aloud with the breeze blowing upon my face, outside with nature, gives me such thrill. And not just reading it, but also writing it
