Well, I've had 3 poems published in 3 different books, 2 made the first page, from Poetry.com in the early 2000's. I have an almost 16year old boy version of me. We started a new journey, dis all the hard work, on the year to enjoy life now, just trying to figure out which paths is Left! (lefty's humor)

The Art of Sucking the Life Out

In the art of letting go….
When it's been the art of holding on, all along.
Didn't you know?
Ok, let's play pretend,
Say you get away,
You made it out the door,
It's ok Mama, you can take your finger off the trigger now.

You did it! ….you...

In Silence

He says,

"Your laugh has faded out, I no longer hear it within the walls,
there's nothing there anymore,
nothing except the outline of what used to be...."

  She thought to herself,
trying to remember what her laugh actually...

The P.O.S. He is Not

First of all,
You do wear the crown...
But you won't,
If you continue to keep your head down...

Then it will fall off,
Into the dirt, then soon into dust...
-So go ahead Jack,
Pile it all in the corner if you must...

Sweep it all...

The Book or The Shoe

Once upon a time,
I never used to be able to fill a nice book with nice pages…
With too many too highs and out of reach
Dreams and purposes left unfulfilled, unseen.
Lucky if the book made it past the 10th page.
No pages torn, -oh no, no, no,...

Little Dark Rain Cloud He Is Not

Even though it may be hurt, it may feel like showers of pain that fall in vein,
that heart of yours you hide so deep, is not as dark as your readers may seem to think.

Behind those walls -barriers, protecting what’s sacred underneath, is a...

maybe you could try actually spending time with her, kinda hard to see how someone looks or doesn't look at you if ur not there with them, looking at them. Maybe try taking a minute to think about how things are going, maybe think about it from the beginning to end, instead of end to beginning

So many things I want to say to this, but there's a time and a place. Maybe you should use your words carefully, maybe even watch your pace.

Another one I can't rate,
it's hard to see with a blurred take.
I was here yesterday,
And the day before,
It's like I already told you,
My heart.... it's yours.
Good days or bad,
Strong or weak,
Joshua open your eyes,
Take a real good peek.
I'm standing right here,
And I'll still be here tomorrow,
And through the night,
Even with my own sorrow.
But even when I'm down and weak,
It will always be your love I seek.
If 1 + 1 =2 then if you ask me,
We both still have a lot of work to do.
But weak or strong,
As long as we do this together,
We'll find our way along.
No burdens, no destruction,
no running bag, no discussion!
I told you once before to let your demons out to play,
So they can play along with mine,
But playtime been over,
Put them back in their cage,
Because at this point,
You're only letting them get in our way.

I can't even rate this..... I'm in tears rn.
First of all, you do wear the crown.
But you won't,
if you continue to keep your head down.
Then it will fall off, into the dirt, then soon into dust,
-go ahead, pile it all in the corner if you must.
Sweep it all under a rug somewhere
if you really think that people do not care.
You keep confusing the person you claim and the person you are,
you're crazy if you really think I'd ever let you get that far
Gone and lost, in your head,
I know I've paid that cost,
too many times, I won't pay it again.
But you hold the power,
You have the key,
To make it all stop,
Please, just stay with me!
Let me show you who you are,
Remind you of who I see,
Because day or night,
The man standing before me,
Is all I'll ever need....

it is. It's so much more than 'working out' for me, it's been the best thing for us, I'd say more than you know, but you do ;)

Thank you. I feel like sometimes, little things or situations that would normally get overlooked or seem like no big deal... until you are the one going through it, it'll always be looked at, as no big deal, but if only they knew.... a loss that haunts is exactly what they'd find out!

You should stick to reality, storytelling doesn't exactly fit you. You can rhyme with time, word after word- it all falls to the floor as if speaking to a door- words spoken being left unheard, speaking to the wall- falling upon deaf ears, where else to go but to fall onto the floor? They crash, they shatter, was this not the disaster you asked for? Once back in reality, touch base, maybe that's where you'll find me. Once a speaker, always a speaker, maybe you should just try listening. Then you'd hear words that were actually said, instead of words that you just make up in your head.

the straight disrespect from one poet onto another's creation. They have social media platforms for your ignorance and lack of respect behavior shown by you. Do NOT take away the attention of this beautifully written poem by opening your mouth and just letting shit fall out. Take it somewhere else. Joshua, beautiful, I love this poem!

Even though it may be hurt, it may feel like showers of pain that fall in vein,
that heart of yours you hide so deep, is not as dark as your readers may seem to think.
Behind those walls -barriers, protecting what’s sacred underneath, is a heart so full and strong, not a kind of love for the weak at all.
Untangled, uncovered, unmasked, now seen, a pure love that I myself now seek.
The love, the laughter, that look, that smile, all adds to me like fuel to the fire,
recharging my heart, for miles long after.
You swing here, you swing there, twisting all around in despair,
little did you know, that I did come prepared.
I broke down my own walls, not one to spare, so I’m sorry but, there’s nothing to damage there.
I covered, I healed, no wound left un-tended, no need for mending, there will be no bending.
Take my hand, let me show you the way…
Over here, not there.
Now, not later.
My dear, I love you, what haven’t you learned, the only destruction you see, is from the mess that was and IS worth making.
Where you see destruction and devastation, I see a yet, beautiful chaotic masterpiece.
Let the beast out,
Let it roar in rage,
So he can dance along with my demons,
I let out of their cage....
