Misery's Romance

Oh, Misery and I will forever be coupled, it seems
For she is the only girl who has ever kissed me in my dreams.

And when I feel my heart yearn for someone other,
I am captured by the hand of a jealous mother.

Her passion so intense, like that of a lover in heat,
The only heart I've ever known, and it doesn't even beat.

I wish I had never looked into those eyes and fell for her glance.
Now she forces her body upon mine, in this heartless romance.

    I can relate to the 'relationship with misery'. It can be our worst enemy or a comforting friend. I Never looked at it in terms of a 'lover' though. Food for thought. I hope it doesn't suck out the rest of my life-force while I'm sleeping tonight :)
