in the loneliest moments

when time
was just a forgotten myth
and all places dissipated
into nothingness

when my sure-footed pride
was taller than all mountains

this poem is magic!
i've read it many times during my life... and found out we are at such fork many many times... in fact we live to choose...

and the secret message is hidden in these lines:

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

yes, we can never come back... we just go forward to face another fork... :)

powerful imagery and symbolism... it touches a chord deep within the soul... exactly where that voice in the well of our subconscious is waiting to be released... to travel on... to share its story with others...
this seemingly simple poem has the power to level off the slopes of solitude and abandonment...

one of the beauties of this poem is that it creates a perfect circle... It starts with daffodils (the real ones) and ends with daffodils (the thought of them)... thus creating a path for us to have a journey within... and aren't daffodils the symbol of introspection? wow! the tapestry of words, images and symbols is masterfully woven...

love the way this seemingly frivolous rhythm comes to a deep philosophical ending...

the poem starts bitterly but then you are drawn into a tapestry of beautiful words and images and sensations... where all you can taste is sweet...
the juxtaposition of bitter reality and sweet dreams does not create regret but an elevating experience of love... bravo!
