Analysis of GONE MISSING
mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)
So many times you spoke about going home, that you did not belong here, that this body no longer felt as if it was your own, that it felt as if it was a suffering shell, and every time that you closed your eyes, it was the only time that you could move, and it was hell.
You painted the trees and the skies, my face and heart like
Salvador Dali, how quickly you became my favorite artist, and I became your famous poet like Charles Bukowski, even though I had a mind like Poe.
Gone missing just like your home is calling me but not like the way it was calling me; there is too much to write for the day is not the same or different from the night.
Gone missing with the signs that your giving, you were always the only one who I would allow to fuck with my mind, but just like you, I know soon it will be my time to go and end this picture shows but with knowing more than I care to see the sign may read we will be back or may read like a red flag gone missing.
