Analysis of THE PROPOSAL

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

When I look into your eyes, I see heaven and my home. The stars have guided me back to you, and the universe speaks to us both, whispering here in each other's arms is where you will belong, never to be again alone.

I was a fool to believe that anyone can mean to me as much as you do. I followed my heart so many times before, and it led me astray until I listened to what my mind had to say.

I walked many paths, and now my heart and mind are a lot stronger, and for the rest of my years, I want to hold you a little bit longer.

I do not know if this is a sort of birthday redemption but the greatest gift that from you that I can receive is for you to spend the next 50 years of my life as my wife, for you are the true meaning of love and why, in the word that is just a feeling that I believe. The question that I ask not in the future or the past but the now is will you marry me?
