Analysis of THAT'S LIFE
mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)
Dream inside of a dream looking searching for something, someone, anything, anyone to bring back to reality, or is this half nightmare half dream my world of a fact or fiction, some old and new reality that I have created for myself with a bit of help from enemies turned friends and friends who turned out to be enemies sticking a dagger in my back.
Death inside of death, living life behind with tears in the eyes of family, friends, and so many fucking lovers, but the tears that hurt the most, the ones with the most burned, are those of my mothers because I never knew my father, and for that, I am a better man thanks to my mother.
Life inside of life, living out of fear and helplessness, is not living life inside of life. Waking up only to get in your car or on a bus a train to punch a time clock every day for the same amount of pay is not living.
Life inside of life, the air inside of your breath, inhaling and exhaling the things that we need and letting go of things that we need, that's life.
Lies and truths, truths and lies are all we need all that I need to write this fairytale, questioning everything and everyone we answer as being authentic as we move backward and forward as we watch the hand on the clock that keeps time which is an illusion. Still, once again, I will say that's the life we were told to know without understanding the meaning. All I know is my truth, the smell of my bullshit. When it hits the fan, all I know is I'm becoming the man I was meant to be, and that's my life.
