Analysis of PRIDE

I sit here with my thoughts taking them outside of my head to examine them some more, so they hurry to lock the doors for these are the places that they know that I care to explore, for the monsters outside are the ones that I trust the most my pride the cost my sanity can not be lost.

I was not sent here with charred wings of black to be an ordinary man. I had to struggle, I had to fight, I had to walk through darkness to find the light until I met both. I did not realize I was sent with a plan.

I opened my eyes. I opened that door because I did not care to follow down that shallow hallway that overlooked to lead me through. They kept on saying come on, boy. Foolish pride does not serve you.

I lay up at night answering the calls of my dreams when they would. Ordinary people shiver and scream, but I have seen things and done many more that want me to follow my pride and see what these bastards have in store.
I want to close my tired eyes. I have been going down every one of those damn highways trying to follow the moon that's shining on me and looking at the stars. I'm trying to answer the traffic light calls, but sometimes red means go, and yellow means speed up. I want what I want, even what I do not think I do, because you can never do enough.

I keep hearing stories of how fire fills my soul and that I always stand up and fight because I will always be young; I will never get old. I find that a little strange because no matter how you twist and rearrange things you will always have your pride even if it makes go insane
