Goodbye To Me

To those who’ve loved and cherished me
I have news you don’t want to see
My old self has disappeared
Replaced by one, a husk that may be less revered

The old’s goals and ambitions, thrown away
The new one, a castaway
Unable to figure out what it wants to be
It sits there, empty
