Guiding Light

Aaron Thomas 1999

A lifetime full of sorrow-
a past full of regret.

How can one see the light?-
in a world this dark.

So many try to shine-
in a world oh so dark.

We look for answers, truth, meaning-
but all we find in this place are lies.

So as I stand here on this cold sad night-
I cannot help but to wonder to myself.

Where is our guiding light?
