What could have been

I wish I knew you in my past,
I wish these feelings could always last,
When together you steel my heart,
World's afar two separate paths.
Our love joins in the darkness of night,
Sun's will rise from the deep to light,
One day our souls will be aligned.
To love a stranger, to not know you,
Could such love even be true?
Flaws to find, putting trust in you,
Lies and hurt, not in us two.
Sand beneath the rising clock, sitting upon an ocean rock.
The more I see you the more I want,
Could our bond ever be fully locked.
Lights of heaven, shimmers of stars, who knows where they really are.
Sights of the moon in fogged glass, words on mind to scared to ask.
Being with you make me full and complete, We both know our love can never be.
We need to let go and remember what's good
Cause only true love will make it through.

About this poem

It's about what could have been with a loved one but instead it was best to say good bye. Right person wrong time.
