The Day the World Stood Still

A day that started out like any other.
But this was the day I almost lost my mother
A woman that worked so hard to raise me right
Collapsed on the floor and gave us all a fright
I called out to her but she wouldn't wake up
But she's my mother I wouldn't give up
Her breathing restored I made the call
To 911 and reported the fall
Help arrived on that scary day
And soon to the hospital she was carried away
Not knowing what the outcome of this horrid day would be
All we could do was wait and see
But you made it through it with a great bit of will
But that will always be the day that the world stood still.
