Silent Pain

Life is a funny thing.
Grief works in mysterious ways
It can swallow you whole
Then spit you out dry & cold

People are a two faced coin
Try all you might
Run all you like
Or even beg the angels.
It's all in vain

The dry and sandy ground will not hide you for long
Sweat and blood does not get you there
It's all just a terrible song
On repeat like a scratched record
The cliche is true darling; life isn't fair.

The world was made by a man
For men
The rest comes after
You can bang the doors and make all the noise you want
The world isn't yours
If it were, it would be a little bit kinder
If it were, you would lay on oceans brink and breathe
You would touch the flame and not get burnt
And feel a bit less of a visitor.
The world was never yours.
