The Two that Saved me

Gentle voices so near yet so soft,
That lead my soul to comfort with their every breath.
Two beautiful people sitting with their hands crossed,
Heads down, saying prayers and finding rest.
Thanking God for their food and friends.
Tears trail down my cheeks as quick as sand,
They don’t know I still want it all to end,
But I’ve never felt safer than when I’m holding their hands.
Wiping all of these broken tears off of my face,
Some of them branch off like a tree.
My heart feels a new pace,
As I look at the two that saved me.
