The Visit While I Sleep

While I Sleep
While the Moon is among the Stars
I sleep
During the darkness in the room
A presence…heaviness upon my Chest
Chills…through-out my body
Fearful to open my eyes
Dismissed as a dream, tried to sleep
Darkness felt endless, until Moon fell Asleep…finally the light filled the room
Waking…anxiously…events of the night
Remembering…tapping on my shoulder
Weeks after Dad had passed
Concluded: The presence night before…the other part of Heart came to Visit…The only way she could
Consoling my grief

About this poem

This poem is about an experience i had one night, when I was sleeping and felt a heaviness on my chest that lasted for a few minutes. She visited me the only way she could.
