The Touch Of Kindness

Gazing at the stars,
With my mind full of questions
Unanswerable, yet justifiable at its best!
Is it because my mind wanders much
Upon seeing the kindness portrayed in nature?

Supposing the time stops altogether,
And the rotation of Earth ends forever,
Will our wandering mind stay cruel just to survive,
Or shall our hearts stop beating forever?

The cruelty shown to other people
Will be then remembered,
And there will be no such thing called hatred to prefer,
Because people will cry for the sake of their lives.
But only one thing will bind them,
Attained by just being kind.

Kindness, O Kindness !
How to describe your heaviness,
In the lives of people,
Eternally stoned into the foreverness?
Just a touch of you
Will show them what life is -
Not so cruel, not so bright,
But better than the darkness that thrives!
