the tree that remembered

Oh beautiful do you remember
How it all began
Back in ancient times
I was created to be pleasant to your sight
Oh beautiful why you used me
As instrument for destruction
I was a sight to look upon
A place where you would hide
What happen to me
That made my beauty fade away
Oh beautiful do you remember
Our victims bodies
Swinging in the southern breeze
Oh beautiful you hang a whole race from me
And you put so much blood on me
Do you remember oh beautiful
How  loyal I was to your cause
I am the reason paparazzi exist
While you pass photographs
Around like a stick trader
Oh beautiful do you remember
How you use a lasso
Like a cowboy catches cattle
You manipulated me to believe
Our victims were the most horrible
Creatures upon this earth
Oh beautiful sways remember
our victims will always be apart of me
