Life Without Gods
In a world without gods or fate
We make our own destiny
With every choice and every step
We shape our lives, our legacy
No higher power to guide us
No holy book to show the way
We trust in reason, science
To lead us through each day
We find beauty in the natural
The stars above, the oceans wide
We find wonder in the mysteries
Of science yet to be tried
We live for love and laughter
For family and for friends
We strive for peace and progress
Until our journey ends
In the end, we are but dust
But our impact will linger on
In the hearts and minds of those
Whose lives we've touched upon
No heaven or hell awaits us
No judgment day to fear
We live and love and learn
In this one, precious year
