Down in the Woods

Ian Herman 1941 (Didcot)

If you go down in the woods today
Don’t be to surprised
You may see some little people
They are all quite civilised

They are there every day
Rain hail or shine
I know all of them
They are friends of mine

I live with them every day
You’ll always find us there
We all where little hats
And funny coloured hair

You have to search to find us
Cos we play hide and seek
We’ve been here for ages
So come and have a peek

I’ll be underneath a mushroom
That’s where I like to hide
I won’t be be doing much
Just sat on my backside

I bet you don’t believe me
But there is a common link
You’re more likely to see me
If you’ve had A LITTLE DRINK
