The Lite that started the Fall

The smallest of lies
Cause the biggest of doubts
Because my issues of trust
Already lie within my bouts

I put myself on the line
Hoping you can do the same
I’d rather hear the truth
To feel the untruthful pain

Lying hurts much more
Than being brutally honest
But you can’t admit even the small things
And now we’re not at our best

I’ve always felt pain
Been used and abused
I never get a break
My heart is constantly bruised

What kind of relationship is this
If I can’t trust the minor things
Because the small things matter
To someone who heart still stings

You broke my heart
While still loving me
So here I am locked in the bathroom
Crying where no one can see

I feel that we are different
And I’m scared we won’t go back
Now this relationship is heavy
And my heart has another crack

The worst of it all
Is that I never thought it would be you
To take my heart as a mended whole
And break it into two

You might think I’m being dramatic
But you’ll never understand my heart
Until you truly listen to meaning
I’ve been relying from the start
