Pops

To my best friend,
a hip old man who's always up on trend.
I reflect on memories of us toes in the sand,
bomb fire on the beach beer in hand
rock'n'roll on the radio bumping a sweet jam.
Life was sweet man.
Work hard play hard,
we even hustled the street scam.
I know more of a dad back then is what you often say you wish you had've been, but you ain't never been no has been, only what you had to be.
A friend to me.
See there's more good times then bad left in my memory.
Still for all the wisdom you taught.
I learned the hard way, how could I not.
It's the journey before destination now there's a thought..."I miss you Pop".
So threw poetry I aim for the top till one day we buy that yacht.
To the lifestyle of a hardworking man who ends his day with a puff of the finest strain.
here's a poem from the penn.
its more than blood that's our bond,
you're my brother,
my best friend,
and I love you till and far beyond this worlds end.
                                            Your Son,
