My old man

You said you’ve fallen in love with the way that I’m shaped,
Stripped naked beneath the sun rays
I fall for me too,
Even harder when our pieces fall into place
And I am placidly breathing you
In the nude

You’ve stared deep into my eyes
Only to find that our souls have intertwined
Long before my body came into existence

My old man,
My homeland,
I long for your touch,
I could never kiss your palms long enough.

About this poem

This poem was written about my ex love, Ryan who is 19 years my senior, we fell in love when I was 22 and he was 41. He was a father figure to me, someone who mentored me and loved me deeply and shown me nothing but love, safety, and guidance that I needed in order to become the man I am today. I hope you like it.
