Tin-canned Ashes

Sheri Miller 1948 (South Carolina)

Tin-canned Ashes

Told you once, twice, three
Times again haul my tin-canned
ashes up, way up north, northwest
of San Francisco to Point Reyes.

JESUS CHRIST, Nature’s toast to
the beginning and end of me.
