Empty

Empty.
You feel your soul is black,
You can’t find a way back.
You try and make everyone happy,
Even though you’re extremely unhappy.
You want to cry for a while,
Instead you hide behind a fake smile.
Your mind is always foggy,
Your body feels constantly groggy.
You get lost in your mind,
You can never unwind.
You constantly feel sad,
You feel like you’re going mad.
You want to scream for help,
No one hears you yelp.
You’re suppose to feel grateful,
Instead you feel hateful.
Words can’t explain,
That all you feel is pain.
You feel lost and alone,
You just constantly moan.
All you can see is the end,
You know you need to mend.
You have everything they say,
But the loneliness never goes away.
Your loved ones say they adore you,
But you just hate you.
I need to be free,
But that’s not easy.
Is it time to take a pill,
Will it stop me feeling ill.
I want to be free,
But I can only be saved by me….

About this poem

The struggles of depression. It’s how you can feel when you’re at your lowest. Well it’s my take on it.
