The Meadow

Sunflowers are dressed in warm
shades of ember.  Wild African lilies
began to sway and swing.  California poppies are clothed in hues of

tigers blood, and  white babies breath
are blooming for the spring.  Across
miles and miles of meadows are
scents of honeysuckle's and lavender.

Butterflies are hatching from their cocoon's.  Bee's are busy sucking eryngiums nectar.  The deer are
drinking from the stream underneath

the shaded willow tree.  The sly fox
is out to hunt, and lure prey in with trickery.  Frogs are camouflaged by
the cattails, and catching flies from lily

pads with their tongue.  Bunnies are nibbling on bluegrass and cloves, and meadowlarks are singing nature
a song.
