My life is a poem

my life is a poem,
seeing things through similes,
juxtaposition, and
metaphors.
They say that "comparison is the thief of joy, but what if it's a lens at which to look at life,
in order to truly understand It.
what if it gives depth to the mundane, connecting me to my surroundings,
and my surroundings to myself.
allowing me to hear the song the world has to sing.
but not just hear,
to comprehend, and to apply.
to understand depth’s song is one of the scariest responsibilities to one’s own self.
your words,
my interpretations.
through eloquent words I replace your speech.
compare it to nature, pain, and -
at the worst, to —
myself.
sometimes I wish it didn't go deeper,
that my brain wouldn't be a cloud of lyrics, deepening things meant to remain basic.
there are no 'simple things' to enjoy when everything’s dual meaning.
a sunset not just a blend of colors,
but a toast to my emotions.
a moment really a movement,
a perspective switch,
bending of past, present, and future.
not just a rain drop,
but a testament to my tears.
seeing beyond smiles into souls,
rhyming, and thinking, analyzing, and - questioning.
everyone else and myself.
the outer world my inner world.
words, letters, punctuation,
float through my sky,
leaving me to arrange their meanings,
into my secret universe.
but that’s what life is, isn’t it?
I just call it a masterpiece.

Wow, what a beautiful and thought-provoking poem! I love how you use similes, juxtaposition, and metaphors to give depth and meaning to everyday experiences. Your words truly resonate with me and make me see the world in a new light.

One suggestion for improvement could be to vary the structure and rhythm of the poem to keep the reader engaged. Maybe try experimenting with different line lengths or stanza breaks to add some dynamic energy to the piece.

Overall, I think your poem is a true masterpiece and I can feel the passion and emotion behind every word. Keep writing and sharing your unique perspective with the world!
