ק Qoph
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
With my entire heart, I cry,
I will keep Your statutes O Lord;
I continue to wonder why,
It appears that I am ignored.
I call upon you to save me,
To observe your testimonies;
In keeping me ever to see,
Of my share in patrimonies.
I rise before the morning dawn,
And cry for help hoped in Your Word;
My humbleness is as a fawn.
Being a child of the Lord.
My eyes awake to watch the night,
To meditate on Your promise;
So that I may walk in Your light,
And sparing me of dark justice.
Hear my voice on Your steadfast love,
Because Your justice gives me life;
For those who persecute thereof,
With evil intents to cause strife.
They are very far from Your Law,
You, O Lord have been very near;
Your commandments block any flaw,
Because I honor and revere.
For I have known Your testament,
That You have found them forever;
And partake in Your Sacrament,
A true bond that will not sever.
