If Only

With provocative anger
Spewing arrows from the eyes
Duplicating nature's wrath
With a puerile pride
Wordless thoughts are hate ensnared
Brimming like the sea
Taking hold of the coast
To a cold degree
In the heavy wantonness
In the luxury-
Where the cut is not so deep,
And ghosts do shy away
I may love you in the deep
As if there were no stars
But that day seems like vanity
Carving out the heart
Friction burns my aging cheek
The rivers running wild
Feverish yet solemnly
They run on through h miles
I would use this anger
If only to make sense
Burn it on a funeral pyre
And in the end repent.
