Introverted

While I suffer in silence,
the world just passes on by,
leaving me all by myself,
with burning tears in my eyes.

Life can be so cold and empty,
I know that this is true,
but people try to trick themselves,
seeing importance in all they do.

People race about like ants,
forever on their tracks,
while I get lost inside myself,
and hope I make it back.

Do I really hope that,
or is it just a lie,
honestly I don't care,
I wish I would just die.
