Places of the Heart

Out of the blue...
On a canvas of white,
A dove flew by
In light--on sound and sight,
Painted in words well chosen,
Marshalled with love overflowing
And--probing that, indeed--
Life is a flight--
On clouds of black and white,
That its reflections are all
Consuming to mind and heart,
Forever beating....
Out of the night that covers,
Day is its only goal that matters.
And--finally, when the day is done...
The dove sings the words to many, or
To an audience of one.
On a canvas of life,
Only God can paint love in all the
Places of the heart.
