Snow Angels
I awoke upon a Winter dawn
Looked into the golden eyes of the angel
Her breath so cool, her face so soft
Smiles twisted and turned in luminous bows
Her white feathered wings beating
Against the blushed frigid air, the snow still so fresh
And I, heard her breathe a sigh, perfumed with the
Wildest flowers
A scent so wet with bloom and honeyed dew
I then knew
The reason for her departure
This is when she went, her presence sweeping up in a
Powdered cloud
Her wind-chime voice slowly fading...
As her wings collapsed from their clasp
Earth opened brand new eyes, awaken
And the radiant suns of Spring soaked up her gentle halo
Not even a lone footprint in the
Melting snow was left,
To show she had been here at all
