Analysis of Fantasies

The mind’s a playground for fantasies,
A place where anything can come true,
A place where every desire’s fulfilled.
But when reality strikes, it can be cruel,
Confusing and misleading judgment.
Hiding our clarity under a shroud.

The veil of misguided decisions, a cloak,
Envelopes us in a world of fancies,
Where we find it difficult to make a sound judgment,
And the line between truth and fiction blurs until it's barely true,
We can't bear the sting of reality’s cruel,
And so we allow ourselves to be fulfilled.

Our hearts fill with hope whenever it’s attained,
But we can’t see beyond the dream veil,
Many times, life can be unfair,
And we’re left alone with our imaginations,
Longing for a life that could’ve been true,
When in reality, it was just poor judgment.

When we gaze through the lens of poor acumen,
Fantasies become real, we feel attained.
It becomes hard to pick out what's true,
Especially when they’re wrapped in a force.
The truth is hidden by our creativity,
As we crave what we least expect.

Life is full of highs, and abyss, and circles.
That even our excellent judgments sometimes fail us.
And so we escape to our visions,
Hoping they’ll satisfy and we’ll be filled.
We paint them in colors, wrap them like a gift,
And believe that somehow, someway, they're true.

And so we abide by the truths that are true;
Letting go of any space for cruelty.
And we'll soon shake off the state of reverie,
Replacing it with careful rationale.
As our aspirations slowly become completed,
We’ll find clarity amidst our many originalities.

True to your heart's desires, not ill willed,
And by sound judgment, may your hopes be fulfilled,
Letting go of the shroud that blinds us to literal fantasies.
