Analysis of The Cycle That Divides
Joe Strickland 1986 (Hobbysville, SC)
As long as you hate,
There will be people to hate.
And so the wheel will turn,
The jagged edges
Rotating upon atrocities.
What good does it serve,
The venomous division?
Don't ask the sky for answers,
That's a waste of time.
Wars do not create bridges.
They simply breed despair,
And plant and sow
A field of bitter souls,
Longing for comfort.
