Analysis of To Hell With The Truth

Fuck it.
To hell with the truth.
What is truth but a fallacy?
A fleeting notion,
A fading memory,
A whisper on the wind,
A passing thought,
Ephemeral
And evasive,
Easily forgotten.
As the history
Of the world unfolds,
The truth,
It seems,
Hardly matters at all,
A mere tool
In the hands of the brave
And bold,
Or a weapon
For those who seek
To control.
What value is there
In truth, I ask?
It's irrelevant
And immaterial,
As they say,
Mere words on a page,
An impossible task,
Because truth
Is nothing
But a game we play.
No, give me lies,
The stuff of dreams,
That give life
To this mad,
Misbegotten crew,
Whether we're drunk
Or sober,
So it seems,
It's the lie
That gives us all our plot.
So, to hell with the truth,
Let it fade away,
As we dance
To the tune
Of our pipe dream,
Let the lies
Guide us through the hours,
And give us the courage
To live our life.
