Analysis of Starting From Today.
Today for me is different
it's not like all the rest,
My head is high, my lungs are full-
you can see it in my chest,
The smile I have is genuine
it comes from inner-peace,
It wasn't there the day before
I no longer fear the beast,
My past has kept me hostage
so full of guilt and shame,
While on my knees I asked for help
and release me from this blame,
God answered me without a word
and said that I'm not weak,
A light came on but still no words-
" Forgiveness is what you seek"
Have faith from this day forward
be confident when you pray,
Let go of all that holds you back-
