Strive to Thrive

At every moment of every day,
Tempestuous typhoons block my way.
I feel daunted, like a prey,
Like the Sun, when the sky is gray.

I turn around and look at my past,
At those moments which vanished so fast,
Nothing has remained, nothing could last,
Nothing could withstand the Silent Blast.

Casting a glance at my current state,
In grave danger and jeopardy I see my fate.
For those who meander and those who wait,
Find failure as their only mate.

We all have to go on this ride,
A rule by which some can't abide.
Still, it is for us to decide,
Whether to fade or to die with pride.

And so I march, march to survive,
With hope and courage to keep me alive.
And before long I shall revive,
As I'll forever, strive to thrive.
