Treasure Clay Jars
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Since we have the same spirit,
As to what has been written;
Salvation we inherit,
Heathens will be forbidden.
I believe and so I speak,
Knowing that Jesus is Lord;
Because of what we do seek,
It can never be ignored.
We know that we will be raised,
And brought into His presence;
For what we have done be praised,
And our obedience.
For it is all for your sake,
So that as grace extends more;
After your sleep you awake,
While His blessings outpour.
So that we do not lose heart,
In a body to decay;
Experience a new start,
Being renewed day by day.
For our light affliction,
Prepares an eternal weight;
Glory beyond conviction,
As others will meet their fate.
We look for things not just seen,
Rather things as transient;
Not what is now but has been,
A glory as radiant.
