TRANSLATION
Breath...
Life struggles to engage
and does, but as underwater--
minutes take hours to travel
from tick to tock,
the breeze sighed,
controlled grace personified
into dancing elemental
pirouetting, outside
and on the cosmic stream of time
Cars racing too fast--
window shattering radios booming,
solid heat walks on white flamed feet;
blazing a path of wild bonfires
and shimmering fireflies singing to the stars
The air suddenly stilled,
fell shrieking to the floor;
fire turned to ice,
the sun exploded--
as eternity walked through the door.

About this poem
I was shocked out of watching television one night by two cars crashing outside in the street, the heavy sound of silence after the metal grinding and rending. Two idiots racing and both lost. I wondered what entities be they angels or elementals thought and reacted and this poem was born.
