Ghost

Liz Rodgers 2003 (Minnesota)

I should've known better
You told me that you were a ghost
I didn't understand until recently what you meant
You meant that if you didn't feel the same
Then poof you are gone
I knew it was coming to
But I let you in
And you told me it would hurt
I didn't listen
Because you said you loved me
Then you leave me
Like we were nothing
Like I never really meant anything to you
Did you leave me because you were bored with me
Was I not entertaining for you
I was trying my best for you
But you didn't care
If I sent this to you
You would just think I am trying to guilt trip you
I do not do it on purpose
But you never even really trusted me anyways
I still have not moved on
But you will probably not believe me
So this is gonna be the last time I write about you
Ghost

About this poem

It is the last one I typed for my ex that I still care about a lot but poof he is gone, off the ends of the earth like always.
