Zayn
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Remember my afflictions,
As well as my wanderings;
That comes from my addictions,
Are causing such sufferings.
The gall of my misery,
As my soul still remembers;
Still remains a mystery,
About the burning embers.
Burning embers within me,
Bowed down in being humbled;
Opens up my eyes to see,
No longer have I stumbled.
This I recall in my mind,
And therefore I will have hope;
Be spiritually aligned,
So I am able to cope.
The steadfast love of the Lord,
Never ceases with His mercy;
His mercies that will afford,
Is more immense than the sea.
His mercies never to end,
His compassion will fail not;
Always ready to defend,
To assist when you have sought.
They are new every morning,
Being great in faithfulness;
Alerting with a warning,
We respond with gratefulness.
For the Lord is my portion,
Therefore I will hope in Him;
Never given distortion,
He never makes me feel grim.
God is good for those who wait,
To the soul who will seek Him;
Because He will seal my fate,
Giving me spiritual vim.
Be sure to wait quietly,
For salvation from the Lord;
With living intimately,
And being in one accord.
