The Lemon Pip

You planted a seed, you dug inside
Like the dirt I am, you scratched
Warm water, in drops you used
Streams that came, you tried to hide

Lithe roots formed beneath my soft mud
The rhizomes crawled under my skin
The thick roots that where once thin
Tie down, bound me to the ground

Nurture or abuse, what did I take to
Growth took place nonetheless, it sprout
Emraled green leaves shaped, came out
Unsatisfied you replaced me, found a new

The liquid poison you puched me to take
I drowned my self in that bitter sweetness
Unaware, you turned me to this bitterness
All that was left the cold and sober eacke
