To You

I wrote a song for you once,
But I couldn't compile it just right.
I heard you say aloud,
The names you hold dear;
Yet mine was never spoken.
I wrote a poem for you,
But all you did was take it in
And delete it from your own memory.
Like I was nothing
Since the very beginning.
Not worth a moment of your time.
I said so many things to you,
To see that pale expression on your face;
Yet only silence fell upon your lips.
I screamed out for you.
Yelled so loud,
My voice caved inside my throat.
The faint sound of nan echo in the distance.
Am I just a ghost?
An unrequited love?
Was that really what this was?
My chest is tight.
I felt fire course through every inch of me.
A bleeding heart;
Such a painful scenery.
I wrote you a letter some time ago,
I've forgotten how long it's been.
But I meant every word.
Every stroke that was written.
Please,
Say something.
I wrote in ink along these walls,
But it never seemed to reach you.
I wanted you then;
Such a coward I am.
A waste of energy,
Were your words to me.
To fret over someone,
Who could care less of me.
I wrote to you in so many ways,
But you had spoken someone else's name....
