Majestic Trails

Mark A. England 1960 (Phoenix)

I remember very well,
When I was just a boy of twelve;
The times I grew to find myself,
On many, of Natures trails;
With Mountains and Rivers on every side,
Each step I took seemed more alive;
My soul was filled with every walk,
Something learned, profoundly taught;
The trees, The Birds, The Air itself,
All acclaim, Were not alone;
Mother Earth is alive with life,
It’s been here, not by chance;
I’ve walked these trails for many years,
And still, the same thing found;
I’m not that young of twelve no more,
And still I like to explore;
Perhaps I’ll walk the trails again,
before my journeys end;
And when I do, of this I’m sure,
I’ve learned, I’m not alone.
