Sky vs. Sea

The moon is a place of solitude
I can tell my thoughts to it without judgement
It share my stories with the stars
I like to think Orion has advice for me
They may not speak back to me
But they guide me.
It's another world I can send my mind to.

But I long for the ocean.
The constant crashing of the waves-
solitude.
It's still hard not to get lost among the stars
   -beauty is distracting

Luckily,
Draco isn't the only dragon.
Puff always comes back to me

Sometimes, he lures me with seashells

Sometimes I get shark teeth.

Then he takes me
To swim with the sharks
And the jellyfish
And the stingrays.
   -comfort

About this poem

I wrote this poem to show the contrast between the things that interest me, but how they still have enough similarities to work together and make me whole.

I have trouble with accepting I'm not perfect and writing about it helps get my thoughts out. Sometimes they just happen to turn into poems. more…
